Crone Day: Herbal support, Nourishment and Strategies for Perimenopause and Menopause, $55

  • Vulgaris Herbs 1381 Kings Highway Chester, NY, 10918 United States (map)

All hail the Crone! Join Ali and Alexandra at Vulgaris Herbs for a day dedicated to perimenopause and menopause. In this workshop we will explore rituals, stories, and herbal protocols that will support, nourish and prepare us for transformation. Whether you are experiencing weight gain, hot flashes, rage, menstrual changes, and everything in between, our intention is to provide strategies to build long term health and dismantle the myths and the “shoulds” around menopause.  We invite you to join us in community and medicine making, and celebrate women’s wisdom and shared experiences in a safe space. Delicious snacks, herbal delights will be provided. This event includes a sharing circle and sound meditation.

About the instructors:

Alison Rohde: Hi, I'm Ali! I'm an herbalist, forager, and land-tender living on the land of the Lenape people in what is now called Sussex County, New Jersey. My specialty is working with nourishing, abundant wild plants, and my passion is empowering people to work with the herbs that grow right outside their doors. I believe reconnecting with the land where we live is the best way to heal our world and dream it into something better; when you love something and truly know it, you take better care of it.

You can find Ali @sheofthegreen and @northernskybotanicals on Instagram.

Alexandra Radoaca: Hi I’m Alexandra, founder for Vulgaris Herbs and Mindful Wilderness. I began my herbalism journey 10 years ago, inspired by my grandmother and the wise women in my Romanian heritage. For the last 8 years I have been teaching workshops on herbal medicine, nature connection and wilderness skills. I work with herbs in ways that encourage us to:

  • Engage with the synergies of the whole plant and its constituents

  • Make gentle, nourishing remedies that uniquely support each individual

  • Create a purposeful and responsible relationship with plants that fosters curiosity, kindness and simplicity

  • Build confidence and competence for the at-home herbalist; empowering each student to bring herbalism into their home through hands-on experience

  • Keep herbalism accessible to everyone
